The Divine Signs
Every morning, sweet soft sounds wake me up.
Murmur of water in the tap tells me not to waste.
Hot tea when stings my tongue tells me not to make haste.
My mother's cookies say "cheer up".
Delight of the gift says " show thy gratitude to Allah".
My whispers of thanks say "you will be given increase".
When stumble, my limbs say "we will bear witness against you .. be prudent".
The blazing fire says "fear the Fire of Hell.. and reflect".
The ripeness of fruit, the date-palms producing spathes, the corn with its leaves and stalk for fodder, and the sweet-smelling plants say "there is more besides in Allah's presence".
Glory to Thee, O my Lord, Glory to Thee..
Your signs overwhelm me..

The Meeting
At a pious' shrine two men met praying to Allah. The first asked :" are you going to call for Allah without a mediator?? He will not forgive you your faults and sins in this way!! Come and pray with me beside the shrine.
But the other man nodded and kept praying..
After that it comes out that the prayers of the latter were answered, while the first one is still praying beside the shrine!!
The fountain
They were sitting together when the first said: "I don't want to drink from that fountain, it's too far, and to reach it is very difficult and wearing for an idle man like me. I have this water in my hand, which seems to be so sweet".
But on tasting it he said: " O, what am I drinking!! it doesn't quench my thirs, t it's salty, bitter and fetid water. O fountain, I'm too thirsty, but thou are so far".
He looked at the water between his hands and drank it saying " damn thee fountain, why don't you come to me, you make me thirsty" , he continued drinking his water and cursing the fountain.
The second man paid no attention to his words, and walked toward the fountain longing to reach it. It was nearer than what he did expect.
When he tasted the water, he cried because he didn't come earlier
